Birds of Prey Encounters at Cardwen Farm

Step into the tranquil gardens of Cardwen Farm and experience the unforgettable thrill of meeting magnificent birds of prey up close. Whether you are already a keen birder, even a twitcher, or perhaps there is a Harry Potter fan in the group or, indeed, just keen to experience something majestic and new. Led by our experienced Falconer meet a Barn Owl, or Harris Hawk among other raptors large or small offers a rare opportunity to connect with nature and learn about the ancient art of Falconry. Under expert guidance, you’ll have the chance to handle some of the birds, and even take part in a controlled flight experience – known as a creance flight – where a bird soars and returns gracefully to your gloved hand. Along the way, discover the vital role these birds play in conservation, as well as the fascinating history of their partnerships with humans throughout the centuries.
